Provix Studio
Privacy Policy
This page explains what information Provix Studio collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and how you can disconnect services or request deletion.
01
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information Provix Studio collects when you use our social media publishing and analytics service (the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If you connect a Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or Threads account to the Service, this policy also describes exactly what we do with the data we receive from those platforms.
By using the Service you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Provix Studio provides tools that let creators and businesses schedule, publish and measure the performance of content (videos, images and text posts) on social media channels such as YouTube, Facebook Pages, Instagram and Threads.
02
Information We Collect
- Account information: your name, email address and a password (stored only as a salted hash, never in plain text) when you register on https://postiz.provixstudio.com/.
- Content you create in the Service: post text, titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, images, videos, schedules and settings that you or your authorised tools add so we can publish them for you.
- Support messages: anything you send us when you contact us.
- Connected-platform access: when you click "Add channel" and approve access, the platform gives us an access token and, depending on the platform and the permissions you approve, relevant account, publishing and analytics data. We only request the permissions needed for the features described above. We do not receive your Google, Facebook, Instagram or Threads password.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, language, and pages or features used.
- Log data: timestamps, errors, and API calls made on your behalf (for example "video uploaded at 14:05"), which we keep to run, secure and debug the Service.
- Cookies: we use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and protect your session. We do not use advertising cookies.
03
How We Use Information
- Provide the Service: authenticate you, connect your channels, schedule and publish the content you approve, and display your analytics.
- Show you performance data about your own content so you can understand and improve it. This includes any tool or automated assistant that you connect to your own account to read your own analytics.
- Keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and fix bugs.
- Communicate with you about your account, security and important changes.
- Comply with legal obligations.
04
What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell your personal information or the data we receive from Google, Meta or any other platform.
- We do not use that data for advertising, including retargeting, personalised or interest-based advertising.
- We do not use that data to build or train general-purpose AI or machine-learning models, or to create profiles of individual viewers.
- We do not transfer that data to data brokers, advertising platforms or information resellers.
- We do not allow humans to read that data except with your consent for a specific purpose such as support, where needed for security or to investigate abuse, or where required by law.
05
Google and YouTube Data
Provix Studio's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In plain terms, we use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features described in this policy: connecting your YouTube channel, publishing your videos, and showing your analytics. We do not transfer Google user data to others except as necessary to provide those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you. We do not use Google user data for serving ads, and we do not allow humans to read Google user data except in the limited cases listed in this policy.
The Service uses YouTube API Services. By using the Service to access YouTube features you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's privacy practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.
You can revoke our access to your Google account at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions by finding "Provix Studio" and choosing "Remove access". You can also disconnect the channel inside the Service. See also https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
When you revoke access or ask us to delete your data, we delete the Google/YouTube tokens and stored YouTube API data within 30 days, and sooner where practical, except where we must keep limited records by law. YouTube API data we refresh is kept no longer than needed to provide the features, and we refresh or delete it in line with YouTube API Services requirements.
06
Meta, Instagram and Threads Data
Data we receive from Facebook, Instagram and Threads through Meta's APIs is used only to provide the features you request, including publishing to the Pages or accounts you select and showing insights for them. We handle it in line with the Meta Platform Terms and Meta Developer Policies. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising or profiling.
You can remove our app in Facebook at Settings > Business Integrations, or Instagram at Settings > Apps and Websites, or Threads at Settings > Account > Website permissions. You can also disconnect the channel in the Service. When you request deletion we delete the related tokens and stored Meta data within 30 days.
07
Sharing Information
- The social platforms you connect (Google/YouTube, Meta), because we send them the content you choose to publish and request your analytics on your behalf.
- Service providers that host or support the Service, such as cloud hosting, networking and email delivery providers. They may process information only on our instructions and under confidentiality and security obligations.
- Authorities or advisers where required to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights, safety and security.
- A successor in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to you and subject to this policy.
- We do not share your data with advertisers.
08
Retention
- Account and content data: for as long as your account is active.
- Access tokens: until you disconnect the channel, revoke access, or delete your account.
- Analytics data: for as long as the channel is connected and as needed to show you performance history, then deleted as described in this policy.
- Logs: typically up to 90 days.
- Backups: deleted on a rolling schedule, normally within 35 days after deletion from live systems.
09
Security
We protect information using encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), restricted access to servers and databases, hashed passwords, and access tokens stored server-side and never shown to other users. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your data occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
10
Your Choices and Deletion Rights
Depending on where you live, including the EEA/UK under the GDPR, California under the CCPA/CPRA, or Nigeria under the NDPA, you may also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority. We honour these rights regardless of location where we reasonably can. We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined in California law.
- Disconnect a channel inside the Service.
- Revoke access from the platform itself.
- Access, correct or export your information by emailing us.
- Delete your account and data by emailing chimastanleychuks@gmail.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my data". We will confirm and complete deletion within 30 days.
- For Meta/Facebook users: email chimastanleychuks@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my data" and the name of the Page or account you connected, or remove the app from your Facebook/Instagram settings and then email us to confirm deletion of any remaining data.
11
Legal Basis
We process personal data to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests such as security, preventing abuse and improving the Service, to comply with legal obligations, and, where required, based on your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by disconnecting the channel.
12
International Transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for transfers of personal data out of the EEA/UK.
13
Children
The Service is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16, or the minimum age in your country. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
14
Third-Party Sites
The Service may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Content you publish on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or Threads is governed by those platforms' own terms and privacy policies.
15
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and change the "Last updated" date. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or inside the Service before it takes effect.
